How We Review

Our goal is to help you understand what a product or service offers, what its limitations are, and whether it fits your needs.

The following standards guide our reviews, comparisons, buying guides, and coupon content.

Explain the Basis of Each Review

Reviews should make their evidence clear.

Research-based articles may draw on official product documentation, published specifications, pricing pages, merchant policies, and relevant third-party sources.

Hands-on testing should be claimed only when it has actually been performed. When an article includes our own testing, it should describe the scope, conditions, and important limitations of that experience.

A demo or limited trial should not be presented as a complete evaluation of every feature.

Focus on Practical Buying Questions

Depending on the product or service, an evaluation may consider:

  • Who it is designed for.
  • Features and meaningful limitations.
  • Price, subscription fees, and ongoing costs.
  • Compatibility and setup requirements.
  • Shipping, returns, cancellations, and warranty terms.
  • Relevant alternatives and trade-offs.

Not every factor applies to every category. Recommendations should explain the circumstances in which an option makes sense.

Separate Claims From Evidence

A statement made by a manufacturer is not the same as an independently verified result.

Significant claims should be attributed to their sources. Where information is unavailable or uncertain, that limitation should be clear.

Customer feedback can highlight recurring concerns or useful questions, but individual experiences do not establish what every buyer will experience.

Make Comparisons and Ratings Understandable

Comparisons should explain which options were considered and what criteria were used.

When ratings appear, the article should explain their basis. A score should not imply laboratory testing, a scientific measurement, or a customer survey unless that work actually took place.

A “best” recommendation should relate to a defined use case and the options evaluated. It should not imply that every available product has been examined.

Describe Coupon Checks Accurately

An offer published by a merchant is different from a coupon tested at checkout.

Labels such as “tested” or “verified” should be supported by an actual check, with the date and relevant conditions made clear.

Even a successfully tested code may not work for every customer. Eligibility can depend on location, cart contents, customer status, and the merchant’s current terms.

Always confirm the discount and final total before completing your purchase.

Disclose Commercial Relationships

Content containing affiliate links should clearly explain that ReviewF5 may earn a commission.

Paid placements, sponsorships, and free products or service access connected to coverage should also be disclosed.

Commercial relationships do not replace the need for evidence, context, and an explanation of limitations.

Keep Dates and Corrections Meaningful

Publication and update dates should reflect actual publication or substantive review. A changed date should not imply that information has been checked when it has not.

Prices, features, and merchant policies can change after publication. Readers should confirm current details with the seller before purchasing.

If you find an error, email Support@reviewf5.com with the page link, a description of the issue, and a supporting source if available.
